Awaken Houston is a prayer movement to lift up the mission of the church and calls for a spiritual awakening here in Houston. This year CFCC will join in a Season of Prayer from Ash Wednesday, March 5—Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025.

During Lent, you can use the daily devotional found below written by pastors and leaders from across the city. In addition, we are encouraging individuals to consider fasting in a way that is appropriate for them during this time. Consider choosing one day this month to fast with us. We suggest using the date of your birthday, but you are welcome to fast more if you like.

Baptisms

This April, churches across Houston are planning for Baptism Sundays to celebrate the fruit of our prayers and the spiritual transformation happening in the lives of people throughout the city. Together, we are praying and believing for 1,000 baptisms during the month of April, proclaiming, The Dead Shall Rise! If you are interested in being baptised, email baptism@cyfairchristian.org to meet with one of our pastors.
