Monday Night Ladies Bible Study
Ladies of all ages are invited to join us this semester as we dive into the book of Nehemiah.
We meet Monday nights, 6:15-8 pm in the Foundation Center, for a wonderful time of studying scripture, fellowship, and fun!
Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Study
God’s word is absolutely critical to our spiritual life! Our greatest enemy is a liar. He will do everything he can to keep us from reading the truth of God’s word.
This semester, we will read through the book of Mark utilizing the S.O.W. study method.
SCRIPTURE - As you read the chapter, prayerfully ask God to speak to you through one specific verse. Remember, you are not alone. God lives in you and is with you! Ask the question - What verse of scripture stood out to me? Once you have identified the one verse, mark it in your Bible, write it down in your journal, or write it on a large index card and place it in your Bible.
OBSERVATION - Once you have identified the one verse, now go back through the chapter and ask the question - What is God saying to me through this verse of scripture? Make observations of things that stood out in the one verse you focused on or in the verses around the one verse. Go back to your journal or large index card and make a list of your observations.
WALK - We follow Jesus by walking in truth. The focus of our reading is on following Jesus, not gaining knowledge for some trivia game. This leads us to ask the question: What am I going to do about this verse of Scripture? Regardless of whether it is corporate worship, small group, or our own private study of God’s Word, the purpose of reading the Bible is never just to gain knowledge. God is calling us to do something about what He is showing us!
Join us on the journey of living out what we are learning about Jesus!
